TV Suggestion: Happy Endings

January 10 By Iggy Leave a Comment

Today I am going to stick with the theme of newer shows and try to get you watching one of my favorite comedies on TV right now; Happy Endings. It is a modern day Friends that has me laughing all the way through. Happy Endings is available from Amazon.com

Happy Endings follows the lives of 6 friends in their late 20’s – early 30’s, dealing with life and love and everything in between. The series starts with Dave and Alex about to get married when Alex decides she’s not ready and runs away. This is the launching point for season one which is 13 episodes long and best watched one right after the other. The show stars Elisha Cuthbert best known for The Girl Next Door, Zachary Knighton who you may have seen in the short lived FlashForward and Damon Wayans Jr. whose father happens to be Damon Wayans.

The characters are over the top and get into some pretty ridiculous situations but at the same time it can be completely relatable. My personal favorites are Penny and Max, they are self involved and seemingly unaware of reality, which makes for some pretty hilarious moments.

Happy Endings is smart and funny and when watched a 2nd time you laugh at things you missed the first time. I promise you will be quoting the show and telling all of your friends to watch it. Happy Endings is currently in the middle of its second season on ABC, Wednesdays at 9:30.
